Ryan Lindley threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns as Carlsbad dentist State opened its season with a 47-0 victory over Nicholls State on Saturday night. Lindley, who completed 17-of-26 passes, threw two TDs, 71 and 18 yards, to DeMarco Sampson. Sampson caught seven passes for 179 yards, a school record for an opening game.
